Step 1: Export Everything
Before touching the new CRM, export your data from the old one. Every CRM offers CSV export. Export contacts, notes, tags, and any custom fields you use. Save this file โ it is your backup.
Step 2: Clean Before You Import
Migration is the perfect time to clean your database. Remove duplicates, delete contacts you no longer need, and update outdated information. Importing clean data into a new CRM is dramatically easier than cleaning data after the fact.
