Control what Relatable sends you
Tune the daily reminder email, mobile push notifications, and the Friday weekly wrap-up to match how much you want to hear from Relatable.
Relatable can reach you three ways: a daily email, push notifications on your phone, and a Friday recap. You get to decide how much of that you want.
Why it matters
The whole point of reminders and suggestions is that you actually see them. But too many notifications and you stop looking at any of them, including the ones that matter. Setting this up once, to match how you actually want to hear from Relatable, means the messages that do land are ones you'll read.
How it works
Each day, Relatable can send you a digest email with your open reminders and who you're due to reach out to. On mobile, the same kind of information, plus updates from Whiz, can push straight to your phone. And every Friday afternoon, a separate wrap-up email recaps your week: the people you connected with, spheres worth a look, and who's next on your list, along with any special dates coming up.
How to use it
- On the web: open your account preferences to control the daily reminder email.
- In the mobile app: the first time you open it, you're asked to allow notifications. Allow them to get reminders, suggestions, and Whiz updates pushed to your phone.
- To stop the daily reminder email or the weekly wrap-up, use the one-click unsubscribe link in the footer of either email.
- To turn push notifications off later, you can revisit the permission in the app or your phone's system settings.
Good to know
- The daily reminder email and the Friday weekly wrap-up are controlled by the same setting behind the scenes. Opting out of one using the footer link turns off both, not just the one you clicked from.
- The weekly wrap-up lands Friday afternoon and covers your week: who you reached, spheres worth reviewing, who to contact next, and upcoming special dates.
- Push notifications require you to allow them on first launch. If you skipped that, you can usually turn them on later from your phone's settings.
- Tapping a push notification takes you straight to the relevant screen in the app, so it's a fast way back into what needs your attention.
