Recorded August 2026Relatable changes fast — what you see in the app may be a little ahead of this video. The written steps below stay current.

Set a note-to-self to follow up with someone, and let it close itself the moment you actually do.

Why it matters

The problem with most follow-up lists is that they don't know when you've already followed up. You do the work of messaging someone, and then you still have to remember to go back and check a box. A Relatable reminder skips that: message the person it's about, and the reminder marks itself done. You don't manage a to-do list — you just do the thing, and the record catches up.

How it works

A reminder has a name, a due date, and usually one or more people attached to it. It shows up on your dashboard and in a daily digest email once it's due. The moment you send a message to someone tied to an open reminder, Relatable completes it automatically, with no manual step.

How to use it

  1. From a contact's profile: open the contact and add a reminder with a due date and a short note about why.2. From the dashboard: reminders due today or overdue show up in the Reminders section. Complete, snooze, or reschedule them from there.
  2. From Whiz: ask in plain language — "remind me to follow up with Sid next week" creates it for you.
  3. In the mobile app: reminders work the same way. Set them from a contact's detail view or through Whiz, and they show up on your mobile dashboard.
  4. Once due, a reminder also arrives in your daily reminder email, so you see it even if you skip the app that day.

Good to know

  • Sending a message to the person a reminder is about completes it automatically. There's no "mark done" button to remember.
  • Birthdays get rolled into the same dashboard section as reminders, but they come from special dates, not from a reminder you set yourself.
  • The daily reminder email can be turned off in your notification preferences if you'd rather check only inside the app.
  • Whether reminders can repeat on a recurring schedule wasn't something we could confirm — treat each one as one-time until you've checked.

Ask Whiz

  • "Remind me to check in with Siouxsie next Tuesday"
  • "What reminders do I have due this week?"
  • "Move my reminder for Joey to Friday"
